In Stilli, part of the route along the Aare remains closed following renaturation work. An alternative asphalt path is available, running parallel to fields and a new nature reserve. A part of the renatured area will no longer be accessible to us forever. A place for flora and fauna has been created. What was once taken from nature is now being returned in many places. Here, animals can move and live undisturbed. The history of the rafters on the Aare and Rhine is very impressive. Many information boards provide details about it. Not only did the rafters travel long distances by water, but also on foot. Today, rafters can still be observed on the Ägerisee, a cultural heritage that will be preserved.

With a mountain bike, the PSI-Aarebrücke is a beautiful and interesting crossing on the tour. I found the view of the Aare and the surrounding area at PSI really exciting because nature, water, and technology are close together here. A short stop is worthwhile to take in the view and enjoy the special atmosphere at the bridge.

The Mühlekanal in Lauffohr is crossed here via a wooden footbridge. A short walk leads to a small island where you can listen to the rushing water and enjoy the peace and quiet.

When you cross this wooden walkway onto a mini island, you can surrender to the tranquility. Listen to the lapping water, watch the ducks swim, perhaps close your eyes... On the left side from the front, the Limmat River flows into the Aare.
