Bicycle garages directly on the Gardon or at the beginning of the city center. 4 hours free, up to 20 hours 1 €. In the box there is a rail for the bike and a steel cable to which you can attach the bike with your own lock.

Alès is after Toulouse, Montpellier, Perpignan and Nîmes, the fifth largest city in Occitanie. As it is the largest city near the Cévennes mountains, it is nicknamed the capital of the Cévennes. It owes its expansion to its industrial past. It was notably one of the cradles of the Cévennes coal mines.

This section of the Gardon is always beautiful. Lots of fish 🐟 and water birds 🦢.

Seasonal “bridge” over the Gardon. The middle part is a concrete path. Access on each bank via a small wooden bridge. Unfortunately, the entrances will be dismantled in September - so that they are not destroyed when the Gardon has more water again.
