Start of construction of a small octagonal chapel from Seeberger sandstone was on the 5th Sunday after Easter (Rogate) of the year 1520. The entrance to the church tower is located since then on the north side of the 1550 and 1554 converted and expanded building. Some of the original stones have been reused at the main entrance. In 1554 the chapel with a tower was enlarged. The year can be found in the capstone of the western window in the south wall of the ship (Wikipedia).
